Eliminate the guesswork with this new Center Sensor Stud Finder that has a detection depth of 3/4 in. for wood and metal. While traditional stud sensors locate the edge of the stud, this 1 locates the center for a more efficient read, even when held at an angle. The sensor is constantly calibrating to save time during use. Once the stud is located, an audible alert and directional LED arrows clearly notify the user. You can easily mark the center of the stud with the center marking channel.

The Chassis feels solid and durable, but the tape kinda sucks. It’s advertise to stand out up to 13′, but it takes a lot of effort to get that distance. The tape is flimsy and often twists which is annoying. The blade is already getting rough and retracting isn’t smooth, not that it was smooth to begin with.I feel that this would be good for a 16′ tape. I bought 2 of these and wish I bought something else.

This is the second tape measure that I have purchased and both have had the same issues. The little piece that holds the tape measure extended has broken on both of them. I don’t use it very often and I haven’t been very rough with it. I do not recommend this and would not purchase this again. I will be looking at a different brand for a tape measure in the future.

The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star review, it did miss inform me on a stud. The finder gave me a reading for a stud and when I marked and drilled there was no stud in that location. It has been accurate any other time I used the device.
