I got this about a month ago. Small and lightweight. 1 button for on/off and to switch between metric and imperial measurements. While it says the variation is +/- 1/4 of an inch, mine is much more accurate than that. Had a professional carpet installer come out and measure the house, I asked if I could follow and check his measurements against mine just to compare. Everytime we were off, we got out a tape measure to figure out who was off…..Everytime it was his that was off. Highly recommend.

Simple point-and-click device that was more accurate than a tape-measure! Many of the other reviews mentioned that the screen is hard to read/too small, but I thought it was fine. If you have poor vision, then it may be an issue though. Display was similar to that of an older calculator.

I tested this Pocket Laser inside with a tape measure right next to it to verify correct readings. The Pocket Laser is quite accurate in smaller measurements. This is a great tool to figure out square footage. There are meters, feet and inches with this unit and I have found feet setting worked the best. I would reccomend this Pocket Laser for purchase.

The accuracy is well within the quarter inch specified in the literature. Charging is easy and it’s easy to use–once you figure out the sequence of measuring options. The directions could have been more helpful on this. One small complaint: I realize that DeWalt wanted a compact device but the display is hard for older eyes to read. I had to get out the magnifying glass to read the fractional inches.
