As handy as it is and could be there are limitations to using this device. First off it is hard to keep still and focus the laser on the desired spot. Second and the reason I wouldn’t give it a better review is that it’s almost impossible to see both the laser dot and the readout in bright sunlight or anywhere if used on a bright day.

It is accurate and can save time with measurements indoors. The laser cannot be seen outdoors over a few feet. It could save you time if you remember too bring it but its not going to replace your Dewalt fat max tape measure

The quickest way to measure a room and you don’t need someone to hold the other end. it has a 65ft range with a /- 1/8″ or 3mm accuracy. It’ll measure in feet/inches or meters. It displays the last four measurements for quick and easy reference. It’s the perfect size to hold comfortably, with a rubber grip, but won’t take up much room in your tool bag. It’s very well-made and should last for many years. This will be handy anywhere quick measurements are needed. This has one of the best, easy to read displays that I’ve seen on anything.

The DeWalt laser distance measurer makes the tape measure almost obsolete. Put it up against a wall and press the button to shine the laser onto an opposing wall. Instantly read the distance in feet and inches or just inches or meters. No need to add the inches of the tape measure holder. No having the tape measure bending and falling. You do need an opposing reference for it to read if just a Tsquare on your flat surface.Need square feet? Measure both height and width and push the units button for cf2 and the square feet shows in the window. The same with cubic feet (3 measurements and the cf3). 2 AAA batteries included.Hole to put lanyard of your choice (wrist or neck).

this laser measurer is awesome compact it’s one and five eights wide and four and five eights long comes with two batterys press the dist button that turns it on press and hold the dist button for five seconds that turns it off press the units button and you can select to measure in meters or feet or inches in the inch mode it will measure right to the 1/16 or 1/8th it is very sensitive so hold or place firmly works very well very accurate do not drop or look into laser light
