This tripod is smooth and easy to use. It comes ready to use and is simple, just open it up and use the levers to unlock the legs and set the right height. quite lightweight. It comes with a strap to carry anywhere easily, points on the feet to keep it stabilized in one spot, and a standard size 5/8 thread for whatever you want to mount on the tripod. I use a laser level and that’s about it, but use it often. Highly recommended, once you get one you won’t know what you did without it.

This is a great heavy duty construction tri-pod. I am so excited to have this tri-pod. I have been borrowing one from a friend for the last big projects that I have worked on. This tri-pod is very sturdy. It is easy to set up and level. The adjustment levers are easy to operate. It has a great shoulder strap for carrying to the job site. All of the instruments that I have around the shop fit on the head, and were easy to use with it. Packaging and instructions were easy to follow and informative. Overall, a really great product.

The tripod comes with a 5/8-11 mounting screw and a 1/4-20 mounting adapter that attaches to the 5/8-11 mounting screw. My problem is that the transit that I have is an old one with a 1/2-20 mounting hole (somehow the tripod to it got lost or stolen). I have found an adapter (5/8-11 to 1/2-20), but they are out of stock at the present. Sure wish that they would have included the 1/2-20 as well as the 1/4-20 adapter.At the present I am using in with my laser level which is 1/4-20 on the mounting. The tripod is so easy to put up and take down. Has a strap to tie the legs together and a over the shoulder strap to carry it by.

Great product battery system is awesome!! Only drawback is the ribs on upper protection ring can get in the way. So you may need to move the pickup a small amount left or right. The case system (tsak) is sweet.

The issue is that the Dewalt Crossline Laser Level can not be attached to the tripod. Is there an adapter that can be used to attach Model# DW088k to the tripod?

Great out of the box use, no assembly. Seems sturdy and easy to use. However, doesn’t offer an adapter or second mounting point for the smaller “camera” size of mounting screw.

I used the construction tripod with my laser level. It is easy to set up. You can adjust the height easily. There are clips on each leg to adjust the height. If the ground is uneven, the legs can adjust for that as well. If the ground is dirt, you can push the sharp ends into the dirt to keep it in place. If using the tripod on hard ground like cement or blacktop, the sharp tips on the legs will still help keep it in place. All in all a good product.
