I bought the laser level for applying vinyl tape as a mid-wall chair rail along my shop walls. Rotating the laser on the tripod, I was able to affix the 3” wide vinyl along the entire room (120’) in a single, continuous strip, and have it perfectly level. Only took a total of 15 minutes.

Excellent laser. Very useful for suspended ceiling layout, wall framing, cabinet installation, etc.I wish it had the option of another (third) beam running overhead square to the plumb line.The case is very protective, but a little large.

This laser is easy to use, and will save money by having a combo line/spot laser, rather than buying 2 separate lasers. The rechargeable battery is a nice touch. I have several Dewalt 20v tools, and this is designed just as well as those are. This will help for accurate layouts of studs or lights.

I use this laser on the jobsite every day the green laser really stands out even with light inside a room. The battery lasts long… Longer than youd think really. It reaches far and the green is suoer easy to spot. Only thing i will add is i have noticed my coworkers same lasers seem to have an issue of the magnets coming loose in the back and having to prop them back in when you stick it to a strong object such as iron beams.

I use it to line up air lines in ceilings and walls and to plumb drops, it’s one of those tools that once you get it you’re never know how you got along without it, it does an excellent job. Just get an extra battery so you don’t have to stop.

Believe me if you will but my story is true. I was using this laser 125’ with the magnetic bracket stuck to a steel inbed. A piece of debris was knock of a working platform above and struck my laser and knocked it free of its hold and it fell. It was in the off position at the time. The housing was undamaged and only the bracket was broken. Now you may ask about it still being calibrated. I check it to a brand new laser and it was spot on. My supervisor ran it through a series of plumb test against other lasers. It works perfect. I wouldn’t believe it myself had I not witnessed my self. Great design and craftsmanship be DeWalt. Would highly recommend this product to any Iron Worker who’s tired of the competition falling off or batteries always going dead.
