This laser pointer level is well made and it comes in a very nice case. DeWalt makes high quality, durable products so I’m sure that it will survive jobsite use for many years. I ordered it online and I guess it’s my bad that I didn’t read the description as well as I could have. It is a pointer level which means that it projects a plumb dot up and down and it projects a level dot forward. I make and install cabinets and it would be much more useful to me if it projected a level line instead of just a single point. I will keep it because I can use it in some situations and it allows us to have two options (I purchased another one that is a line laser level).

This is a much better level than the single laser level that I bought it to replace. The level comes with a magnet mount that is great for steel beams and ladders. This is a great tool to replace the old plumb and string for a vertical straight line. The unit is built tough so dropping it is not a problem. I also like that it is not big an bulky and comes in a nice pouch to keep it nice a clean. Every DIYer should own one of these.

This is a good lazer if you layout something on the floor and want it transferred to the ceiling. I can layout my hanger locations on the floor, and place the lazer on the floor. The lazer has a dot pointing down at my mark and another dot pointing straight up to a corresponding spot on the ceiling where I need to drill. It’s very slick.
