Great tool for the price. 165 feet in optimal conditions would be a far stretch. But at 75 feet it’s a solid laser. Really good on batteries as well.

Bought the “comparable” Bosch model before this and had to return because it was awful. The Dewalt was ten times better with a stronger laser and can use in lite areas. Worth the extra money.

Had it a short time. Used it several times installing shelves and cabinets in my garage. One of those tools that makes you ask yourself what did you do without it. If you intend on leaving it on for several hours a time, get the Dewalt rechargeable battery version. I turn it on make my makes or alignments and then turn off – works great. Can not beat the price – for this green light model. I use it with my Vortex tripod in awkward areas and magnetic it to the garage door or clamp to moldings. I am looking for an micro adjustable base.
