So far so good with this thing. Been in use for over 4 days pretty constantly and the only thing I wish it would do is have a lock for the beam so I could use it to set a straight line on a slope. The case it comes in is excellent and protects it well. The wall mount is nice for drop ceilings.

This level exceeded my expectations for a product at this price point. I borrowed a very nice Bosch from a neighbor and quickly realized that I needed a laser level of my own. The Bosch was significantly more expensive so I opted for this Dewalt and was not disappointed. From what I can tell so far it is equivalent or even superior.

This product puts a bright line on the wall but it is not much or use with floor tile. It made wall tile installation quicker since it can still be seen after applying thinset. To stay true you have to work off the center of the line it draws since the line has some width to it. I can see where this would really be nice when installing ceiling grid or chair rail but you have to be careful with it when installing small tile. I like that you can turn on or off the beams independently. I also really like the hard case.

So glad to come out of the Stone Age with my former Craftsman non-leveling laser level. For me, this model is the “sweet spot”: the balance among price, functionality, quality and robustness. I am DIYer so this is a very practical solution for me. This is a non-stock item for most stores, but ordering was painless, and had it on my doorstep within 72-hours without paying any premium for shipping. Bottom line: If you’re upgrading/replacing a previous laser level, OR, if this is your first quality self-leveling laser level, I think you’ll be very pleased with the DeWalt. Go for it!

Limited range outdoors in the sun. Perhaps the green laser would be a better choice.

I bought this laser level to tile my bathrooms. So far it has worked as I hoped it would. It gives me a good general line to follow and know that I’m on the right line but I find myself using my bullet level, 2 foot and 4 foot level for a more precise, detailed level line. The laser level line for the horizontal lines was much to thick to be as accurate as I would like. I can not get the level any further back then where it is. I tried it in several other rooms where the level is further away from the object that I was trying to keep level and there the line was much thinner and easier to be more accurate. My grout line is an 1/8″ and working with 12×24″ tile is difficult and taking my time and using this laser level gives me a good overall visual that I’m keeping everything straight. Was it worth the money, yes. Do I keep what it can do for me on context, yes. I will still be using my others levels to get the job done.

This thing is fantastic, I bought it to install cabinets, and before the cabinets even came it paid for itself. I have installed a decorative wainscoting wall made with 1×4 pine, not only are they level, but I was able to straighten then out using the line as I nailed. I then installed wrap around shelving in a closet, piece of cake. Then I even used the vertical to set a working line for laying a 45 ft long wooden plank floor. The magnets were the selling point for this model and they are great. If you are considering it, just buy it, it’s amazing the uses you’ll find.
