The tape is easy to read and can be played out quite well before in will bend. The one thing I don’t like is that the hook tab keeps sliding off the lumber that it is hooked on. It seems to be too smooth.

I dropped my old tape too many times and it finally ‘exploded’. This tape has strategically placed rubber covering that looks like it will absorb shock well. Tape is very smooth extending and retracting. The tape lock has two positions. full down locks the tape solid. Halfway down holds the tape enough that it doesn’t slide on its own, but can be moved fairly easily by hand. Nice feature.
