Get better productivity on the job with the DEWALT DW089k Line Laser. It has multiple design enhancements and is great for professionals working on residential and commercial applications such as installing cabinets, drop ceilings, chair rails or doors and windows. The DW089K stands apart from other line lasers on the market because it has a second plumb line that forms a 90° intersecting line on the floor and ceiling. You won’t need to use a second laser because this third vertical beam can handle layout applications, saving time and maximizing productivity. With a track clearance of over 1-3/4 in., the DW089K can be used on commercial wall layout applications without the need for extra accessories to raise the laser over drywall track. The micro adjust knob provides easy alignment, while the metal roll cage makes it durable. There is an integrated pivot bracket and universal wall mount that works perfectly on acoustical ceiling installation. Steadily adjust the 90° layout lines in small increments without nudging the laser to hit a specific mark with the micro adjust knob. The beam is two times brighter than that of the prior DEWALT model, giving better visibility.

The laser level in comparison to your average laser level is great. I love how it can do all three laser lines and the self leveling. The only complaints I have is somewhere when I wa looking into getting it it said that it was brighter than the average. I compared it to 2 other Dewalt laser levels and it was not much brighter if any brighter. That and it does not have a laser lock on it but that isn’t really too much of a problem. As far as it’s functionality in comparison to your average laser level I would highly recommend it but if you are looking for it to be brighter than the average, it’s about the same.

I am a contractor and I picked up one of these about 5 or 6 years ago and it has become a very often used tool in my arsenal of tools. I used it when I built my own home and everything is dead straight. Makes it easy for installing device/switch/receptical boxes and I know everyone is dead lined up with the others. Makes is easy for more jobs than I feel like listing. I like how it comes in its own case. If I could knock it in any way I wish the laser light was brighter. It is harder to see in full bright light. I took it out in the evening to measure the slope of my lawn and it worked good to even measure 800 feet plus.

Bought this to replace a Bosch 5 point laser that went dim on me. Checked the accuracy in a 40 ft space and it was within 3/32″ @ 40 ft. out of the box. The adjustment that fine tunes the vertical position is a nice feature.

This level was purchased to replace my PLS 180 which served me well,but the switch failed after 5 years.The PLS has a 180 degree angle which is a feature I wasn’t going to give up.As a finish carpenter I us my level daily for cabinets ,paneling,wainscoting etc.this laser had all the same features and more,it is built like a tank for one thing.the dial feature for the plumb line is awesome and I use it all the time.the second 90deg plumb line will come in handy,it makes a cross on the floor and the ceiling so in effect it’s a plumb Bob laser too! Awesome product!

As a 30 year Contractor, never using a laser beam before (Old school?) or numskull, with my new Dewalt laser, scaffold on wheels, without climbing down I set my perimeter L-metal along the continuous red line to set the hanging wires, measuring an inch above the red dot now on those wires to hand the main T’s and the rest of the grid, realizing my skills in measuring was no longer needed for that job. Great laser. Love that it shoots square lines. Only complaint is that it only shoots a vertical line out of the left side and not both sides, which can be a bit of a pain if trying to shoot a square line off of a baseplate somewhere in the middle and not a corner.
