I love Dewalt and will continue to buy their products, but they fell short on this one. It’s almost impossible to see the laser outdoors, even on a cloudy day and with the special glasses. I would put the max range – with overcast skies – at 10 feet, in the sun almost zero. You could buy a laser stick and laser finder, but now you’re talking $200 more on the $450 for the laser. Not worth it, not even close. I’ll stick to string lines!

Easy to use. Hang or attach it anywhere. Gives 3 axis level lines.Consider getting a tripod that has easy fine tune vertical adjustment. Will greatly increase the speed at which you can adjust to a zero point.
