The DeWALT 1/2 DW130 is the best drill I have used.I use it for mixing concrete its smooth operation is great for this use its got strudy feel to it. Its great for drilling in wood because of its one finger F R triger. I would say overal its worht every doller one of the best tools Ive ever used.

Best drill on the market. It’s a beast. Lasts for years! I use this in the front piece of my carpet cleaning machine to power a drive belt for the scrub brush. I replace the chuck with a belt drive attachment. Daily. I have it running almost continually for hours during jobs. Very dependable and easy brush replacement.

I’ve used many these over the years to mix a variety of materials and drill numerous holes (always someone else’s drill and not my own) and bought a new one for myself recently. I’ve used mine for a couple weeks so far on a large mortar repair project and mixed about 20 bags of type-S in small amounts at a time.Even with the 9-amp motor and the low speed I can feel the motor lugging, even with mortar mixed really thin, and I know straining the motor will end up burning up the brushes in the motor. For the price I paid I’d be much happier with even just 1amp. I don’t remember the older models lugging as much as mine does, maybe I got a bad one?Also I liked the older models that had the rocker switch between forward and reverse for drilling through studs and plates, but this one has a single switch and the toggle above it that I like less. Also the chuck key doesn’t fit the very well and slips when i open or close it, which isn’t good for either.It works well for now, but had I known I probably would have bought a used older model that I liked for less.

All I have been doing lately is just replacing tools that were stolen from me that I usually use every so often. It would be nice to have a receipt for all the DeWalt tools I have purchased thus far. So, I would get a better return on my insurance claim. I actually had the 18volt version, but since they took everything except the new twin charger, I felt it was a time to upgrade to the 20 volt version.
