I have used Dewalt bits before and unless they break they seem to hold an edge for many holes. The point tip is a great feature as it keep the bit from wandering prior to getting a bite. The only con I would point out is the lack of sizes between bits, but otherwise these are great and I will purchase Dewalt bits in the future.

I have been using these bits for at least a decade and a half and have never found any bit to be better than these. Whether drilling into wood, aluminum or steel they have always done the job.I have owned only 2 sets in total and used them to drill literally 50000 or more holes in melamine and perhaps a 1000 or more in metal and thousands more in other wood products. In all that time I had one bit go dull as the person I loaned it to drilled at too high a speed in steel, and I broke one drilling through aluminum for a fitting on my dock. The one I broke was my fault.Over the years I have bought numerous sets of these as gifts for friends of mine and all tell me they are the best bits they ever owned. I believe people who give negative feedback are not familiar with how to operate a drill properly in varying materials. Today I am ordering another set for another friend who will be pleased to receive them.

If tools can be beautiful, this is the one. Case is a great way to never lose or misplace one of your bits. A perfect complement to the driver.

These bits are supposed to be good for metal, but they aren’t. I tried drilling through a metal bar, that was probably about as thick as two paper plates, and the bit wouldn’t budge. I used a different metal bit I had and it went through no problem. That said, they bits are fine for wood and they’re inexpensive, especially when compared to buying them separately.
