The bit did an excellent job of cutting through the steel plate I used it on. I did use a drill press to make sure it cut a clean straight hole.

I needed to install some barrel-bolts on some commercial steel doors; the steel jambs needed large holes drilled for the bolt to lock into the jamb. The bit worked well in a hand-drill going into the mild steel of the door jamb — I did drill a smaller pilot-hole to start, but the big bit cut well.

Drill Bit worked great in my drill press.

I used it to drill some holes on the frame of my truck and it held up . You do need to run it at a slow speed with some lubrication I used regular engine oil that was left over after an oil change to keep the drill bit cooler .If you over heat the drill bit I don’t think it will last long also I used step drilling where you start with a smaller drill .

Worked ok drilling the first of four holes in seat belt anchors but in fairness the steel in the anchor plate was very hard.
