I recently cut down 5 average sized pine trees, all over 25yrs old and about 13 inches in diameter. In preparation of removing the stumps in the future I purchased a 1” X 17” auger bit and this Dewalt 7.8 amp 1/2 chuck drill. I drilled about 15 holes 15” deep in each stump with no problem.
