The Dewalt 6-Amp 4,000 RPM Lightweight VSR Drywall Screw Gun is well designed and engineered to do exactly what it’s built to do and nothing else, no frills no nonsense, and that’s perfect for me. Right out of the box the tool is complete. Just dial up the depth to set your screws using the simple diagram right on the collar, plug it in, insert screw and pull the start switch. I am very satisfied !

The DeWalt 6-Amp VSR Drywall Screw Gun is an inexpensive drywall screw gun, The quality is top notch and this should save time in your work. Although it says it does not have a screw adjustment on the web description, it does on the front of the gun. Also has a convenient hook for attaching it to your work belt. The only negative on this screw gun is that it is attached to a cord so you are limited by ac power availability, but you know this before you buy the gun.

As mentioned in another review my experience hanging drywall is with an electric drill with a bit and spring stop, simulating a drywall gun. I tested this Drywall Screw Gun on some scrap drywall. It is a lot faster than using the electric drill, maybe 3 times faster. After driving 2-3 screws I had the depth set and it held driving another 10 or so screws without going through the paper. I’m uncertain what the longevity of this tool would be for a professional driving screws hour after hour and day after day but for a home drywall project it is a nice tool and should last. Personally I prefer power corded tools for lengthy projects so there’s no waiting around for a battery to charge.

I would definitely recommend this product to any of my friends and those who are reading this review. This gun is very easy to use, some what light weight, fast and easy to handle and load. I use to do things the old fashioned way, but with this i will never hang drywall like i have before. It was just like, zap, zap, zap, go, go, go and we were done in no time. I just wish this gun was a little bit lighter, but likewise i;m not young like i use to be LOL.
