I purchased this product on the advise of a professional drywall installer after I was installing drywall in my basement with a cordless drill/screwdriver. It allowed me to significantly increase the speed of driving the screws into the drywall and thus decreased overall installation time. The only problem is that you have to be at the proper angle or slippage will occour.

I have only had the 5300 RMP a short time. Installed 18, 1/2″ drywall boards however the scrugun worked without a problem, easy to adjust and fast to load the next screw without having to stop the drill motor.

Delivered quickly and in great shape. Very easy to set up and it holds the setting very well. Does what it is supposed to do real fast. Very happy with the screw gun

Bought this for a basement remodel after my old dewalt finally died. Depth adjustment is so easy and consistent only wish the clip resembled the cordless so I could hang it from my belt.

For the money, one would think this thing would come with some sort of storage box, made of heavy plastic. It comes with a flimsy cardboard box which is a throw away. The unit comes with poor instructions, and only one #1 bit!!! One would have expected to see it come with at least a few replacement bits, #1’s and #2’s… My advice is, shop around for a better brand, like a Makita. I would not buy this one again — it works, but, nothing to brag about.

I bought this to install subfloor in a bedroom. This is making the job go so much faster. Still adjusting the depth gauge on it to get the screws set to the depth I want. With the speed of the motor I have to watch how fast I’m putting the screws in or it rounds out the head of the screw. Even with that I’m still glad I purchased it. For the amount of time saved and just getting use to how to operate the gun I’m happy with it. I read the reviews of other people on the 3 Dewalt Scruguns and decided this one would be the one, not since it was the cheapest, but the others didn’t seem to have any better features for the price. By the time I’m done putting subfloor down the Scrugun and I will work as one. Already told a friend about it and he is going to get one for when he puts in his deck.

I recently had to replace the drywall in our office. I typically just use my cordless drill for sinking the screws, but I figured I take a walk down the tool aisle. I’m a Dewalt snob, so I migrated right towards the yellow…there were 2 models to chose from, but this one came in a combo kit (with cut out tool) and seemed just as hefty as the other dewalt model on the shelf (and a little less expensive). The more expensive model has a silver nosepiece on it, and I was going to get it just for the fact that it seemed to be all metal, but I couldnt justify the extra money because I’m only going to use it occasionally….There are other reviews about the nose on this one being black plastic….THE NOSE ON THIS UNIT IS NOT PLASTIC…It looks like it, but it’s not. Some of the black paint has worn off the edge, revealing the silver underneath….Once you understand how drywall guns are supposed to work (leaving the trigger locked ON), it will only take you 3 or 4 screws to appreciate the purchase!…. I will not be using the battery operated drill for drywall ever again. And for the record, the nose piece on this gun has exactly the same in function and adjustment as the higher model.

This tool will save you time installing number of screws. Very powerful and has depth stop setting so each and every time the screw is drive exactly to the perfect position. Highly recommended.

The magnetic tip for holding screws is a good feature. It has good torque to set screws. Setting the depth of screws is very easy and stays set. Just used it on a drywall installation for a shower and it worked quite well. The trigger set is sensitive to activate, but can be mastered. Ability to push in screws from butt of screw gun is a very good feature.

This is a very nice screw gun. It has a huge amount of power which makes it very easy to drive screws into wood. The Reversible feature is nice for those “oops” times. Adjusting for the depth of the screw is also simple and quick to do. I have a lot of DeWalt tools so I can expect this to last for a very long time.

HAve only tried the screw gun out but the depth adjustment was easy and did not seem to change as some of the reviews indicate. Will give it a good workout in a couple of weeks

I ordered this screw gun online to do some remodeling. Works great for this DIYer. And didn’t break the bank.

Just started using it. Have put up 6 sheets of drywall so far and found the perfect setting to drive screws into resilient channel which I’m using throughout my basement finishing project. There’s probably 3000 more screws before I’m done. My only concern is whether the driver tip will wear out beforehand.

Have used several different brands, but this one is best. Was recomended by several contractors I talked to and glad I listened.
