I haven’t had the opportunity to use this new one yet. I do know of this same model that has been in use daily in a manufacturing plant. Driving hundreds 1/4 20TPI machine screws 5 days a week. Used by multiple workers. Holds accurate torque setting. The rotary impact action of the clutch aids in driving fastener to it’s appropriate torque. A nice driver that is quick and comfortable.Driver works very well.

I used to build pole frame and steel frame buildings and these are the only guns that will drive perma-screws day in and out without burning up. The clutch adjustment is very easy and the gun holds up. I sold it to my friend when I no longer had the need of it years ago and it is still going strong for him. Bought this as a general purpose screwdriver. It is easy to use for light duty such as driving 1.75 inch screws into wood. With the high torque motor, it can run them in at a slow speed for good depth control. Only drawbacks are overall length of the unit plus bit holder, and that it is corded. But you get AC power with no expensive batteries to replace.

This screw driver was a life saver. We are using it to put up OSB board attached to metal 2×4’s. It has saved us so much time as we don’t have to pre-drill pilot holes if you use this tool along with self drilling screws. There is a lot of torque with this tool and we had to set the torque down so that we would not strip the screws out. It is fast. It was definitely worth the purchase.

Bought this tool to install standing seam exposed fastener steel roofing on my house. but use the material as siding instead of roofing. Took me a few minutes to figure out the clutch adjustment but after that smooth sailing. The clutch seems to be a bit inconsistent but that may also be due to underlayment density.

This screwdriver is for anyone wanting to tighten screws by torque (not by depth). I purchased this for installing drywall screws based on an online review. Once I learned there was no depth adjustment, I called DeWalt. I was told it can be used for drywall screws. It most certainly can, but without depth adjustment. Screw depth is fairly important for drywall, so I returned the Versa-Clutch Screwdriver.
