I bought one of these screw/drill sets years ago from Makita. The idea was good, but the Makita locking design caused it to get stuck if used hard. Finally I can replace it with this DeWalt version. This design (locking mechanism) is much better. Worked great on my last job. Like the box, however, it’s a little on the large size for me. It does fit in the drill box on top of the drill if you place it at an angle.

Very well made. Eliminates the need to keep going from drill bit to screw driving bit. Simple push the collar, pull out and reinsert in the device. Go from drill to screw without having to loosen and retighten the chuck.

Wish I knew about the product before. I always like to drill a small hole before I drill in screws. Wash such a pain to keep chaning the drill bit to the screw driver bit. With this little gadet it only takes a second. Love this product!

I always disregard any review that people make after only using the product once. Well , I have been using this DrillDrive kit all summer and I love. it. I use it on bird houses, planters and solar house lights and it really speeds up the process. It eliminates the need to be constantly changing from a drill bit to a driver bit and it also counter sinks. I wish I would have bought this when it first came out.

Good set. Bought when it came back in stock, but Home Depot took about 3 weeks to deliver due to shipping error. By the time I got it, they had a deal of the day for the same set (except it had 11 pieces instead of 8), and it was cheaper. Returned the first set I bought and ordered the Special Buy if the Day Set.
