DEWALT 1-3/4 HP Fixed Base/Plunge Router Combo Kit has the power to rout and smooth the toughest hardwoods. The micro-fine depth adjustment ring allows for precise adjustments in 1/64 in. increments. The tool-free, steel motor cam lock and quick-release motor latches make bit and base changes fast and easy when you need to switch tasks.

One of those tools I have been wanting to pick up for a while… This is a nice, solid tool with two bases. I purchased to finish out a futon I am building for my daughter, and the dual heads are perfect for either finishing the edges or cutting slots so the futon can open or close.I’m a tool and diemaker and I generally have high expectations for the tools I purchase. I have never been disappointed with any of the Dewalt tools I have purchased, which is why I keep coming back. This tool is well worth the money in my opinion.The on/off switch is in a somewhat awkward position but I honestly don’t know any way around this with the dual base design. This is the only “flaw” I can see on the tool, but it definitely shouldn’t scare you away from the router. I can’t imagine you will be unhappy once you have it in your hand.

This is a great product, my only complaint is the case it comes in leaves little room for accessory storage. I have found that the router needs to be placed exactly the way it was in the store and there is not much room to store anything else.

I have only used it a hand full of times, but so far so good. It’s easy to switch between the plunge and fixed base and The depth adjustments are easy to use. The case is kind of bulky but it has room to keep additional tools and bits in it. I do like that it comes with both 1/2 and 1/4 collects as well. I feel the detachable cord doesn’t have the most secure lock but it doesn’t seem like it will just fall off. The tool doesn’t jerk in your hand when you turn it on. It seems powerful and isnt very noisy. Overall seems like a really good router and would buy it again.
