I was on the fence for a while about “taking the plunge ” ( sorry, couldn’t resist) to buy a plunge router but I couldn’t be happier that I did. This thing is a wood hungry monster. It has tackled everything I have thrown at it so far . Fluid plunge is an understatement as it plunges effortlessly. There may be better or stronger on the market but I don’t need to find out because this one suits my needs to a T.

I primarily use routers for my plastics, so they need to be 2hp or greater. This fits the bill nicely! My only observations are that rivets are used in the carrying case. This can leave marks or scratches on the clear plastic of the router. This in turn can be transferred to material you are working on. I recommend that you place a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the carrying case Also, there are no compartments built into the carrying case for the parts you usually carry with the router such as the wrench, collets and frequently used bits.

Great Router, lots of power to plow thru oak without bogging down.

only had it a few weeks but its been awesome so farone problem maybe i didnt tighten it enough but the bit loosened in my router table and cut over 1/2 inch deep when it was set to less than 1/4 inch just from vibrating loose

Good solid construction. Fairly easy to learn to use even though I’ve never used one before. Good weight and feel while working with it.

overall like the router, am disappointed that it did not come with an edge guide (which costs approximately $30 more)

Simple machine and gets the job done. I’m pleased and recommend it for small jobs

Great product though not sure of the need for variable speed as everything I’ve ever routed cut best at higher speeds but it’s a solid unit none the less. Minor complaint is that the provided zipper bad could have been maybe 2 inches longer. It’s a tight fit for both bases and the router itself must be in one of the base for all to fit. But honestly buy this router. It’s great and I love it

Much easier to use. Bit changing is easy. It’s lighter but solid. I spent a lot of time researching. Liking it, was a good choice.

Excellent quality. Exceeded my expectations. This is my first time to use a router. I used it to level surfaces of stumps to make end tables. This router handles wonderfully on hard rock maple. Instructions were clear. It’s a safe design. The plunge base is a must.

Good router but the mechanism for raising or lowering the bit is not easy or fluid.

Easy to use even for the least experienced of carpenters.

I bought this router based on the brand quality and I knew it would be a great tool but after using it, it exceeded my expectations. Power, versatility, ease of use, ergonomic and just a down right pleasure to use. The dust collection works great. Auxullary base, and other features put this router up there in my opinion. Now I want another one to replace my pc for my dedicated table cutter.

Predictable DeWalt quality in this router with a solid and sturdy grip. The plunge slides smoothly and the variable speeds provide flexibility with different wood types. All controls are conveniently located so that you do not lose your grip to turn on/off or adjust speed. I did have some challenge with sawdust collecting in the dado groove and not self-cleaning, but it is otherwise very solid.

Alright! I am a professional home builder that uses my tools daily on the job for many different things.I don’t use the plunge stand often. So this review will not include that feature. 95% of the time I have this guy mounted To a table! It has a lot of power and I keep it turned down for most of the wood products I use. Southern Pine, Walnut, Maple, Cherry etc that realm.I can tell you I have never had a hiccup and it does it’s job on every piece of wood I throw at it! From time to time I make I my own trim even with this guy on the table! Honestly you won’t be disappointed with this unit!
