Mainly used for drywall, but great all around tool.

Multi purpose tool. Works with small router bits, die grinder bits, as well as some dremel bits. Good price. High speed, 30k rpm, which restricts use with some bits.

I use this tool alot during the day. I have tried other brands but I keep on having to send them back to be repaired. I will keep on buying the DeWalt cut out tool. I highly recommend this if you do sheetrock work.

It gets the job done. The tool arrives in a bright yellow cardboard box. The tool doesn’t come with a case. You’ll have to pay more for the package deal. I should have gotten the case.

I am very happy with this tool, I have used it as intended , but mostly as a Gutsy Dremmel tool.I wish DeWalt would come up with Dremmel like accesories but heavy duty like the tool it self, not hobby oriented like Dremmel. It is a tool worth having!

Been using it with my CNC machine since about 4 years, 3 to 4 hours constantly at a time with no real big break except to change bit at a rate of at least once per week but now it needs a brush job. Can really rely on this tool. Don’t stop manufacturing it

I used this tool in a commercial finish out. I cut openings in sheet rock, metal studs, and porcelain tile. Great tool that I highly recommend.

Home Depot shipped the item fast and it arrived well packed. I am not a daily user of the cut off tool, but it has done a good job so far. I have only used the tool on wood. The tool-less chuck is a good idea, but I don’t use it. It seems easier for me to use a wrench.

awsome tool

While a bit heavy & large for drywall work it is powerful & the button on the end makes it easy to turn off when you have the tool in one hand and the scrap you just cut out in the other.

It works good on drywall. But it works a lot better with a Roto Zip bit. The bit that came with it was too short and didn’t have the blunt nose guide. I used it to cut out for recessed lighting cans, and it worked well clockwise or counter clockwise. It didn’t require skill or practice. But I found it helpful to cut out a little piece from inside the can before jumping to the outside. It just help me see which way the curve went before I cut it out. Then it went smooth and almost effortless.

This tool is a must have! With a steady hand, and several different bit choices, you can cut anything from drywall to tile and metal. It’s versatility makes this my go-to saw.
