Fits Ryboi Router. Some woodworkers would call this a parallel fence. This DeWalt model fits very well onto my Ryobi RE180PL1 router. Ryobi no longer makes a fence which directly works with this router. The two rods fit perfectly into corresponding holes in the router base, which are 84± mm apart. To secure the rods in the Ryobi router, you will need to purchase two pan-head machine screws, M5x0.80. See Home Depot SKU 199870, for example. This DeWalt parallel fence comes with two screws, size M6x1.00, with springs and plastic thumbwheels. I presume they fit in a DeWalt router. I used those springs with the M5x0.80 pan-head screws; I recommend this because the router’s vibration will surely loosen the screw with use. So if you have a Ryobi RE180PL series router this DeWalt tool will likely work for you.

Excelent Edge guide. In fact the best I’ve ever used especislly with the vaccume attached that does help collect 90+% of the sawdust and chips which definetly helps to keep the work area Clean and clear. I am useing the The DEWALT Universal Edge Guide on my New DeWalt DW618 Standard and Plunge Router Kit so the Edge giude is a must have for any wood worker using a DEWALT router. It comes with Both the Larger and smaller diameter edge guide rods to allows you to attach it to the smaller SW616 Router.I think if I use a larger Vaccume then the 1 gallon Vaccume I have hooked up to it now the Edge guide would get all the dust and chips.I know the raiting only allows 5 stars well the DEWALT Router with the edge guide gives this 10 stars. Great Engineering DEWALT.

This Dewalt Universal Edge Guide and Dust Collector is a must for anyone regularly using a router. The edge guide runs true without any slip, and the dust collector hooks up nice and easy to my shop vac. I would definitely purchase again.

Product works as described. I bought it to produce some mortises for a door I am making as the stiles were too long for my jig and table. Set up was a wee bit fiddly but quite intuitive. Instructions were for assembling only which for me is fine however with no use instructions or tips it might upset other purchasers. In my case it was not a problem. The adjustment is smooth and the plastic pads on the fence are adjustable giving one a wider, more stable set up when required. The dust port is removable by squeezing the sides out of the metal clips as it gets in the way of some set ups and also is not required when I’m using the plunge post vac port. Overall I like the product and would recommend it.

I would have given this tool a 5 star rating but the stand alone instructions were somewhat confusing but with some prior experience, mounting of the unit to my fixed based router was accomplished in spite of the instructions. I very disappointed that the enclosed instructions do not explain function of how or when to use the micro adjustment. It appears to be for fine adjustment for edge work. When a project requiring fine adjustments for bit – edge work it will be come clear. Even with this annoyance I would recommend this tool for it’s listed routers.
