Got this for my son for Father’s Day, just to say we were glad that he was a great dad. He had mentioned the fact of needing it when he did trim molding on the job. The wider length will keep the molding from falling down while cutting. According to him it was the next best thing to “sausage and gravy”.

It’s a good accessory but not ideal for finish work. Too much “play” between the stand and support and the height adjustment is in need of a redesign. It shouldn’t have 2 different tighteners for each support. You have to use a square and a straight edge to make sure it is in line with the deck of the saw and the opposing support. Great for general carpentry.

Yes the stock short ones that come with the saw are worthless. I just drilled the stock ones and mounted a piece of composit to the top. Cost me nothing and work great

great addition to my Dewald miter saw stand

The part is very helpful. The part that came with the stand is very narrow and can rarely be used with wide lumber. This part should have come with the stand.

This is a solid support, but only has mounting holes in one position which puts half of the support behind the fence of the saw making half of it irrelevant. Would think DeWalt would make the silver top part adjustable like their smaller one. I drilled mine to move it. Would give it 5 stars if adjustable

Works great for holding your vinyl soffit. The vinyl soffit don’t slide off when you are cutting

It is a great piece for when you’re cutting wide boards especially Azak the only problem is that it’s a little loose and when you’re trying to make Precision Cuts it varies up to 1/8 of an inch

These wide material supports make cutting wider boards so much easier. I highly recommend them.

I can’t believe I waited so long to get these. I had a previous DW723 w/ 4 stock supports I let start falling apart before replacing the whole set up & opted for (4) of these wide supports over the (2) clumbsy supplied stock supports. Anyone who has ever dismissed the old set up should definitely try the wider supports first. No more material slippping of the back or falling off the front of the support when cutting wider stock. A tad pricey but you should factor in increased productivity & jobsite tranquility when ordering these now.The only things I would say are drawbacks are that they share the same system for raising & lowering the support to meet the table of various miter saws. Could be stronger & stay where you need it. Also they are centered over the stand which is good as the most the 12 SCMS will cut is 16″ but as other finish carpenters know you may use your to cut 24″+ with yours. But it still is a HUGE improvement to the stock ones & maybe someday these will replace them completely.
