You need accuracy from your miter saw and this tool gives you just that. The DEWALT 12 in. Double-Bevel Compound Miter Saw’s precise miter system and innovative machined base fence design offer long-term fence straightness from additional support. This miter saw comes equipped with a 15 Amp motor that delivers 3600 RPM for extended power and durability. This saw also includes the DEWALT XPS light.
- Cam lock miter handle with miter detent override that eliminates the need to twist the handle to lock in on the angle
- Double-bevel design that allows the saw to bevel left and right up to 48°
- Adjustable stainless steel miter detent plate with 11 positive stops
- Back fence design that enables you to cut 2 in. x 10 in. dimensional lumber at 90° and 2 in. x 8 in. lumber at 45°
- Tall sliding fences that support crown molding up to 6-5/8 in. nested and base molding up to 6-1/2 in. vertically against the fence while easily sliding out of the way for bevel cuts
- Innovative gearbox and belt-drive design that deliver increased vertical cutting capacity

I have used this saw to make multiple decks/sheds/awnings etc. Still runs like brand new. I like the 12″ blade since it is big enough to get through the angle cuts on 2×6 and 4×6 (mainly what I use for these). Goes right through without losing power.

Wasn’t square from factory. The dust collection is non existent. Even with a shop vac attached it isn’t much better. Didnt think it was going to be a big deal. I knew it was lacking when I bought it but wow it’s bad. The light is great and the saw seems to do a great job with what I’ve used it for.

Purchased this to replace a 10″ Delta miter saw in which the blade guard shattered on me. Unable to get a replacement and for cutting 4 & 6 treated landscape logs, this works much better. I am getting a little more creative with my retaining wall/border cuts. Previously used a Stihl chainsaw but this makes much smoother cuts. It is heavy but it is very sturdy. Carrying it by the handle is awkward but at least it has a handle. I don’t know where else they could have mounted a handle after thinking about it. I really wanted a miter saw that could do wider boards but those are heavier yet. I would have if my set-up was stationary, but I haul this up and down basement steps when I use it outside. I have a lot of rotted boards that need to be replaced. Had to order this for store pickup as Home Depot does not stock these in the stores. I give Home Depot a 3 for that policy. I own a lot of Bosch and some Milwaukee power tools and this is my only DeWalt. I am satisfied though I am going to have to lift more weights so I can carry this easier. It is awkward more than anything.
