You need accuracy from your miter saw and this tool gives you just that. The DEWALT 12 in. Double-Bevel Compound Miter Saw’s precise miter system and innovative machined base fence design offer long-term fence straightness from additional support. This miter saw comes equipped with a 15 Amp motor that delivers 3600 RPM for extended power and durability. This saw also includes the DEWALT XPS light.
- Cam lock miter handle with miter detent override that eliminates the need to twist the handle to lock in on the angle
- Double-bevel design that allows the saw to bevel left and right up to 48°
- Adjustable stainless steel miter detent plate with 11 positive stops
- Back fence design that enables you to cut 2 in. x 10 in. dimensional lumber at 90° and 2 in. x 8 in. lumber at 45°
- Tall sliding fences that support crown molding up to 6-5/8 in. nested and base molding up to 6-1/2 in. vertically against the fence while easily sliding out of the way for bevel cuts
- Innovative gearbox and belt-drive design that deliver increased vertical cutting capacity

I bought this saw to replace a Bosch Sliding compound saw. I was hesitant at first, under the misconception that DeWalt wasn’t up to the same standards as the Bosch product. Bot was I wrong! The repeatability and accuracy of theis saw makes it a joy to use, and the Cutline system is just brilliant. If I miss a cut now, I can no longer blame the saw. If there are Jedi carpenters somewhere in a galaxy far, far away, this is the saw they’re using. I got the DWX726 rolling stand at the same time, Which makes the big, solid tool completely portable.

I bought this specific model saw because of the XPS light and the additional cost is well worth the investment. The saw was ready to use right out of the box, although I did check its alignment. The XPS Light is exactly true. The saw changes angles smoothly and quickly. The height of the 12” blade accepts very wide crown molding in profile. The blade brake works fast once you release the trigger, a safety feature I really love. The only surprise is that there is a little kick when you first pull the trigger – not a negative just a big difference from my old mitre saw. This is a very powerful saw.

Excellent product. I like the tall back of the double bevel saw for crown molding. I had the unlighted version for 8 years and not a problem. I only upgraded for the light. I do a lot of kitchen installs and cutting in low light conditions can be challenging. Best saw made for tall Base boards also. Scott

Arrived in excellent condition. Square and true out if the box. XPS light is much better than a laser because the shadow cast by the light is exactly where the blade cuts. Disappointing that a material clamp is not included and only available from third party vendors at an unreasonable cost.
