The 13 in. thick Corded Planer from DEWALT provides excellent surface finish with a 3-knife cutter head that delivers a 30% longer knife life and makes changing them out more seamless. Its powerful 15 Amp, 20,000 RPM (10,000 RPM cutter head speed) motor executes 96 or 179 cuts per in. for a quick and efficient solution. It handles larger cuts in wider materials with ease.
- 19-3/4 in. cast aluminum base that is 2x more rigid than a standard 10 in. base and folding tables
- 2-speed gear box that allows users to change the feed speed for optimal cuts of the particular material with which you’re working
- Fan-assisted chip ejection vacuums that chips off of the cutter head and exhausts them out of the machine
- Automatic carriage lock that reduces the movement that causes snipe
- Extra large thickness scale that delivers accurate cuts with every pass
- Extra large turret depth stop that allows you to return to your most frequently used thicknesses with ease

After 7 years, my first one was wearing out and my choices were to factory recondition it or buy new. With COVID 19 affecting everything, I did not know how long it would take them to turn the planer around, so I bought a new one. I just wish they had knives that lasted longer and were able to be sharpened instead of trashing them. Boards need little sanding even using the faster of the two settings. Have mostly planed several thousand foot of rough 4/4 poplar, and a small amount of red oak.

Bought this for bulk thicknessing of boards for a table and it handled it like a champ. Would highly recommend using the dewalt cart that makes it mobile

Excellent so far. I have not gotten any snipe on properly supported mayerial.

The planer works wonderfully. Follow instructions closely to avoid snipe. I built a fully enclosed stand which I pipe the sawdust into, otherwise it blows out all over the shop.

After months of research I purchased the DeWalt 735 planer and stand. Stand assembly was quick and simple. I could not believe how stout it was. The planer worked great out of the box. I used it for a project using red oak and was impressed at how smooth the boards were after planing. I recommend this tool without reservation.

Got this planer to add to my woodshop; it has exceeded my expectations. This tool replaces another brand of planer I own (which just never quite produced the results so was looking for.).It’s quick, leaves an incredible smooth surface, and is highly accurate.

It caught fire the first time I used it. Warranty covered the repair but I haven’t gotten back to use it sence.

Great little planer, well worth the money. Only complaint is the feed roller needing some help to move larger boards through.

Sufficient power to plane 13″ wide stock, excellent chip clearing and two speed planning is extremelyuseful for very fine finish.

I have has this planer for four years. Absolutely essential for working with rough stock. I have been able to take saw mill lumber and turn it into finished stock. Very pleased with the performance and ruggedness.

I’m happy with the planer. There are very few units in this middle range which is the sweet spot for most folks. It’s better built than the $400 units and significantly cheaper than the slightly more power, wider units. Good for a home shop – awfully heavy to drag around for a contractor.
