I bought this grinder after reading many reviews. Priced right if it works properly. Well this thing would completely walk across the garage floor if you let it. I put a wire wheel on one side and trued up the remaining wheel which made it better but would still cause the stand and grinder to vibrate in circles. I finally fabricated some rubber feet for the stand which I read about from another post and that did the trick. Now it runs perfectly with no movement. I do think a lot of this is the stand and having it on a cement floor. The three legs of the feet just don’t sit right in the floor. The rubber feet did the trick and I’m happy with my purchase.

Very clear instructions for attaching eye-guards and tool-rests. Very smooth operation, and reasonably quiet. Don’t have to bolt it to a bench – I clamped mine to a table-saw bed and can quickly move it when needed. Plenty of power, plenty of momentum so motor doesn’t slow down or lug under load.

It’s an excellent bench grinder and if used correctly it will get the job done fast. Keep in mind, it doesn’t come with a wire wheel (not included), which is essential if you’re going to polish anything metal. You’ll also want to bolt down the grinder for optimal performance (not included). Based off experience, you can easily sharpen a mower blade in less than 10 minutes.

Purchased this grinder to replace my old 6″ grinder which burned out from light use only. I decided to go with Dewalt 8″ grinder because I wanted a grinder with stronger motor and better built and certainly this one does not disappoint. Great grinder ! I had my previous grinder for years and didn’t want to replace it but once it went bye bye I was shocked how nice this grinder performed, it’s so smooth. Once I replaced one wheel with a wire wheel it got more vibration but I’ll need to live with that cause I can’t do without a wire wheel.
