My husband likes the DeWalt Grinder. It is exactly what he was looking for. Very satisfied with the product.

Good product for the price paid. As a retired machinest it is powerful and did not run smooth until I rotated the grinding wheels. They have a black line on each one and need to put them 180 degrees apart. This balanced them out The steady rests are not heavy duty and I did not attach the shields. Wear glasses. All in all I am happy with this purchase and would not go back to a 6inch model

I have owned this for a few months and I’m still VERY, VERY satisfied with the purchase. This is so very much superior to the Wen Bench Grinder that I bought and them brought back to Home Depot. Balanced and smooth running out of the box even with one grinding wheel taken off and laying on the bench… Removing and replacing a wheel is EASY compared to the WEN. I had problem with a Norton Wire Wheel causing strong vibrations but it was the fault of the Wheel spindle hole being made with an offset towards the one side of the outside edge of the wheel by more than a half an inch. I wish it had LED lights but for $15 you can buy a magnetic mount light online.

The eye guards could me made a little better, they shake bad when running. but all in all a well made piece of equipment.

Just purchased this 8” Dewalt for the powerful motor but man has it got a vibration. Not sure if the shaft is bent or the wheels are out of balance. Either way, it’s not good. Should have paid attention to the online reviews but I thought, maybe the box was damaged. This box looked like it had been handled properly so it was boxed at the factory defective. Probably going to return and get my money back, 40 miles back to the store. Not happy Dewalt!

Great product! The assembly instructions were awful to say the least though. I figured it out and very happy with my purchase.

Unlike some of the reviews I’ve read, my grinder seems perfectly ballanced and does not vibrate badly as others have complained about Even before I bolted it down it stayed in place. Has plenty of power for what I need and I’m very happy with my purchase.

I just started using it but vibration is annoying. I’m trying to decide if it’s my bench it’s attached to or the bench grinder itself. Otherwise has plenty of power and does the job

Great tool works perfectly

The overall performance is excellent. The wheels needed truing. The coarse one was particularly bad. But, that was to be expected. After truing it ran very smoothly. My only criticism is that it comes with metric fasteners. This is still America; and while the automotive industry may have given in, the rest of us have not.

Works as expected. Sent with incorrect parts to complete set up.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband so he hasn’t used it yet. He’s very excited to use it before mowing season begins to sharpen our mower blades.
Shayna Dickinson (verified owner) –
quite a bit of vibration out of the box; required a lot of wheel dressing to make usable

Runs great – gets job done. I have a fully loaded workshop and 99% of my tools are DeWalt because I can trust they stand by their warranty – albeit the one time I had to use the warranty service, weeks became months waiting for the part(s) to come in to get the repair needed. Generally, however, if you take care of your DeWalt tools, you won’t have problems requiring warranty. The torque, power, durability and reliability are outstanding when it’s DeWalt.
