Featuring a double parallel-link arm design for accurate cuts, the arm pivots from the back to the front, shortening the distance the arm moves for smoother, quieter operation. Easy to handle with variable-speed control for application-specific performance, the on/off switch, speed control, blade-tensioning lever and flexible dust blower are all located within easy reach of the front upper arm. I have been a scroll saw hobbyist for several years using an OLD Dremel craft saw. It did fine for what it was but my projects were getting more complex and needed a better saw. Bought the DeWalt 20″ variable speed saw and stand to be delivered to my home. Shipping took less than a week. Assembly and set up was simple. I couldn’t believe it when I turned the saw on for the first time. No vibration and you could hardly hear it run. Cuts are fast and smooth in the 1/4″ Baltic Birch plywood I tried it out on. I couldn’t ask for more. Very solid construction and excellent finish.

Perfect on time delivery with delivery notifications and a pristine box delivered in poor weather conditions. Super easy assembly. Quality built product with substantial structure, weight, and ergonomic controls especially blade change out. MANDATORY – Bought and installed a bright LED battery-operated light with magnetic base. Good duty cycle – cuts thick hardwood easily and accurately with blade changes. Intricate cuts require heavy concentration, steady hand, slow feed, and forethought about the blade/tool path. Changing out and adjusting the blade tension is easy and a major benefit of this saw. Using the saw is easy but it’s just not very fun. Probably would have been equally happy with a cheaper scroll saw.

It is a smooth, quiet saw and it works nicely. It has blown the fuse twice in the first two months, and it was not being used hard either time so that may be a concern in the future? I have a friend who also has blown fuses in his for no apparent reason, but at this point that is my only concern. I do not love the foot, as the pressure point for it is too far out in front of the blade.

I have been scroll saw cutting cutting 4 30 years plus. I couldn’t bring myself to spend the money to buy a high-end scroll saw but I decided that I would. This is by far the best scroll saw I have ever used the 20in table has made life so much easier and with the 20in instead of 16 in has allowed me more flexibility when cutting out product.
