Featuring a double parallel-link arm design for accurate cuts, the arm pivots from the back to the front, shortening the distance the arm moves for smoother, quieter operation. Easy to handle with variable-speed control for application-specific performance, the on/off switch, speed control, blade-tensioning lever and flexible dust blower are all located within easy reach of the front upper arm. Meets my expectations. easy to assemble, Heavy duty frame and work table, Dewalt could include a couple of extra blades in the box because the blades break fairly easy and they aren’t that easy to find in my area; had to order them on the web. edges of cuts are fairly smooth which requires less sanding. The adjustable chip blower is a nice bonus.

I started with a Hawk, then Hegner and now this DeWalt. This saw is a good to great saw in those comparisons. Easy to change blades, little vibration and not noisy at all. My air nozzle dust blower is not functioning properly but to be fair I think it has asthma. It is the only thing that doesn’t perform as expected but I’ve yet to call DW to talk about solutions. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

The Dewalt scroll saw is an excellent buy.The only reasons not to give it five stars are the lack of a mechanism to hold the arm up when threading the blade for interior cuts. The hold down is also of inferior design and needed grinding to have sit more securely in position. But don’t let either of these be a factor for not buying a really good tool.

I love this saw It is so easy to change the blades And It is very quiet And does not vibrate A lot like My last saw. I have had it a couple of months and done numerous projects on it already. Just wish it could add time to your day to do more scrolling.
