I started with a Hawk, then Hegner and now this DeWalt. This saw is a good to great saw in those comparisons. Easy to change blades, little vibration and not noisy at all. My air nozzle dust blower is not functioning properly but to be fair I think it has asthma. It is the only thing that doesn’t perform as expected but I’ve yet to call DW to talk about solutions. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

I had a Delta for 7 years. Decided to try Dewalt mainly because the last time I went to a wood working show, everyone in the scroll saw section had this saw. I found it no better but no worse than the Delta with one exception. The Dewalt does not have an upper arm lock. You have to wedge something under the arm to hold it up when you change the blade. A bit of a pain.

Meets my expectations. easy to assemble, Heavy duty frame and work table, Dewalt could include a couple of extra blades in the box because the blades break fairly easy and they aren’t that easy to find in my area; had to order them on the web. edges of cuts are fairly smooth which requires less sanding. The adjustable chip blower is a nice bonus.
