The DEWALT 15 Amp 14 in. (355 mm) Multi-Cutter Saw is a dry cutting saw that uses a carbide-tipped blade specifically designed for cutting heavy-duty metals. Featuring enough capacity to cut everything from 5 in. black pipe to 2-9/16 in. solid bar stock, this saw is also ideal for cutting threaded rod, struts, angle iron and rebar. Delivering exceptional speed and superior finished surfaces, there is little need for touchup, so grinding and filling times are reduced. The carbide-tipped blade averages more than 1200 cuts in most applications and with sharpening, you can get up to 5000 cuts. With a powerful 15 Amp, 4.0 hp motor, this saw is designed to stand up to rugged work on a regular basis, making it ideal for jobsite use.
- Cuts a wide variety of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Carbide tipped blade allows the depth of cut to remain constant throughout blade life
- Cuts 4-times faster than chop saws and 8-times faster than portable band saws in 2 in. x 2 in. x 1/4 in. angle iron
- 14 in. 70-tooth carbide tipped blade delivers a lower cost-per-cut compared to cutting with abrasive wheels
- Specially designed carbide teeth deliver fast, precise, virtually burr-free cuts, reducing the need for preparation grinding
- Largest capacity in its class with even more capacity than a deep-cut portable band saw (5-3/16 in. round & 4-1/2 in. x 6-1/2 in. rectangular), allowing user to cut a wider variety of material sizes for more applications
- Ergonomically designed horizontal handle for user comfort and less fatigue
- 15 Amp, 4 HP motor provides more overload capacity for increased performance and durability
- Patented Quick-Fence tool-free, 45° adjustable fence allows for fast and accurate angle cuts without using a wrench
- Quick-Lock vise allows for fast clamping on different material sizes for increased productivity
- Extra-wide solid steel base provides increased stability when cutting longer material; the 4 pre-drilled holes in the base allow easy bolt down to any work bench; the solid steel base also allows user to weld jigs or stops directly to the base
- Durable metal top handle for easy portability
- Heavy-duty lock down pin allows the head of the saw to be locked in the carrying position without the use of a chain
- On-board wheel change wrench allows for convenient storage and reduces the risk of lost wrenches
- Spindle lock allows user to make wheel changes quickly and easily for less downtime

Great Saw! I got this to replace my abrasive blade Dewalt chopsaw. What a difference! Fast, spark free cuts that are clean and cool to the touch! I can’t believe how well it works. I highly recommend this saw. The guide/clamp is also very quick to change between 90 degree and 45 degree cuts.

Works good, happy with overall performance

Ready out of the box. Make sure you have material securely clamped down. Wear protective gear, gloves, face shield etc. Enjoy makes short work of making multiple cuts. Use firm but not excessive pressure on cut.

It has plenty of power to cut steel & aluminum with ease. On the downside the base is cheap stamped steel. It causes the vertical angle to be off so it is not precision. I have to shim the left side of the base under the workpiece with a piece of .062 shim stock to get a reasonably straight vertical cut. It is sad that cheaper DeWalt saws have nice machined cast aluminum base. Other brand cheaper saws have better bases. This saw appears to be good only for rough cutting heavy steel I would have paid more for a decent base. I will probably spend another $200 to get a suitable plate steel base for straight cuts. DeWalt, what were you thinking. I have had this saw for 2 weeks. Of course it did not meet my expectations. People should watch reviews on YouTube as everyone complains about the cheap stamped steel base and the vertical cutting errors it causes.

Strong saw. Perfect cuts every time. I even cut a piece of 1/2″ angle, straight and a 45, and both cuts were simple and perfect.

Good product but just like anything don’t force it and it will last you a life time. Our go to saw when we travel and fabricate on the fly

If Dewalt would invest a little bit more into the base of the unit, this saw would be a 5 star all around.

I purchased this saw almost two years ago, it replaced my dewalt abrasive chop saw. For me it’s the better tool for the job. My only issue with the tool pertains to the table quality. The table is press formed stamped mild steel with raised and recessed channels. My table has become dented and bowed. Maybe the table should be milled cast steel. The work to be cut no longer sits flat. The angle fence is ok. The measurement scale is ok, must use a square to tram the fence to blade good practice anyways. It just so happens that the table is such an issue someone has made an upgraded unit. Saunders Machine Works has part of the solution it’s not perfect but it’s a start.

Cuts like a hot knife through butter. In cutting 1/4” steel tube and angle, 5/8” solid bar. No sparks, no blade wobble, I’m happy I spent more on the more expensive saw.

I cut .75″×1″ aluminum bar , about 500 cuts a week. The band saw leaves a rough irregular finish and is insanely slow. This saw breezes through them. I have also tried some steel pipe and 4×6 aluminum. No problems.

Plenty of power and the added safety of no sparks being generated as you cut. Nice machine. I do wish that DEWALT would make this saw just like a Compound miter saw. Would be easier to ,use and more versatile. It could also be used on the portable stands with the quick mount adapters. This saw will not accept the quick mount adapters and cannot be used on the portable stand. This machine beats any abrasive chop saw. It is the better tool.
