Ultimately this did not serve my purpose. I needed to finely thread 1/4″ aluminum stock and this only came with a 1/4″ course die. However, it was clearly labeled and that was my fault. It did make a nice clean thread on the aluminum stock.

I reload shells for a hobby. I stuck a case in my reloading press. I removed the die and did a 1/4″ tap. It worked perfectly and I was able to extract the stuck case and not cause damage to my sizing die. I used the Oakey dark cutting oil and it made taping a breeze.

Easy to use. Drill bits are matches up with corresponding tap sizes. Die cutters work great. Just remember to back then out a little every couple turns and spray with WD40 to clean out metal shavings. Had a bolt snap inside a Mercruiser outdrive and this worked like a charm.

The tool works really good but, the pieces should have a case to put them in. Once the plastic wrap is opened there is no way to contain the pieces.

While it was nice to have a small assortment of taps and dies in one kit, I found that the die handle was difficult to use since the arms are so short and very small in diameter. It made it tough on my hands.
