Nice product.

It works but it’s overpriced. The drill bits are okay but they’re nothing special. Basically it works fine but you’re paying way more than you need to. Especially since you probably only need the taps and probably only in one size.

Difficult to get the tap handle to secure the small (#6) tap.
Chyna Hegmann (verified owner) –
The driver stripped and could not hold the tap tight enough.

I purchased this set for my vacation house tool set. It is small and compact with most common electrical type screw threads. I only wish it had a case.

Had sized tap i needed, other sizes are common ones as well.

Did the job. No problems.

Exactly what I needed to repair a chart stand tripod.
Jaylin Ratke (verified owner) –
The tool did the tapping job well enough. The t-wrench that holds the taps is not well made and difficult to tighten properly.

Very good product and easy to use. Works as advertised.

I used this for a one time job; in our Florida second home, a guy put up shutters for the hurricane for use but cross threaded a lot of the anchors which are lead. I came back to see half the screws sticking out. To buy just the 1/4″-20 tap, and a separate handle cost more than this set, which did the job perfectly. Probably never use again but one use paid for it.

Worked just like it should!

Every now and again, I find that I have the right diameter screws, but that they are too long. Now, instead of going to the hardware store I’m able to shorten them with my angle grinder and then clean up the threads with this tap and die set. I’d give this 5 stars if it came with a case. Once I opened the bubble pack, I was left with a lot of loose parts and no way to keep them organized. so I bought a small craft box and cut a notch in it to accommodate the tap holder, as shown in the attached picture.

It did everything I needed it to do. I stripped out the threads on an electrical box and this kit helped me salvage the box without having to replace it. I just went from a 6 – 32 thread to and 8 – 32 thread.

This tap set was so easy to use and very practical, good quality and medium price.

Worked great !

The instructions for using the handle on the tap could be a little better. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to properly seat it. Other than that it’s great
Elizabeth Rice (verified owner) –
It helped with my problem but didn’t solve it which was not the fault of the tap & die.

No box to hold them in

Excellent product, however, not a good package to keep the bit and taps in; nor is easy to read the bit stamps. I used white out to fill the stamping o the bits to make them more legible. Cover the end with white out then wipe off with alcohol. This could be done at the factory. the bits are offset by one from the tap. easy to use the wrong bit..
