A good tap and die set, it made working on a old set of gun grips very easy. Had to resize the grip holes because they were stripped out.

The drill and taps in this set are fairly nice. I did break one, but it was my first time tapping threads, and I was doing it into a solid steel bar, the entire depth of the tap, so I don’t blame the tap at all.Unfortunately, the tap wrench that came with this set is terrible. It has a stepped collet to hold the taps, so the larger the tap you are using, the less it engages with the wrench. It’s so bad that if you use the 1/4″ tap in this set, the wrench only engages about 1/8″ of the tap. With such little material, the wrench collet deforms and strips easily, which makes the wrench slip off the tap constantly.The die wrench engages differently, so I don’t expect any issue with that, but the tap wrench ruins this otherwise nice set.

Great drill, tap, and die set. Very useful for jobs around home. So far, I have used it to drill and tap 1/4-20 screw holes in PVC and it worked well.

I like everything about the set except the small taps don’t fit the tee handle. The handle want tighten down to hold them in place. They want to spin in the tee handle. Maybe they could address this in QC at the manufacturers.

THE ONLY DRAWBACK TO THIS PRODUCT IS THAT IT DOES NOT COME WITH ANY TYPE OF CARRYING DEVICE. AND AS SMALL AS THE ITEMS ARE IN THE PACKAGE, IT IS VERY EASY TO LOSE A PIECE.
