Kind of disappointed that the teeth blades break easily

I just got a chance to open the package and used narrow one of the blades (see attached photo). I used the narrow blade to cut into PVC tubes and it worked pretty well. The blade still looks brand new even after some cuts. Apparently, these blades fits very tight in my Dewalt Oscillating tool.

I like the flexibility of several sizes in the pack. They worked well in a couple of different situations.

This comes with three sets of blades They are DWA4203 the blade is 1 1/4″ wide for cutting wood with nails, DWA4206 is also1 1/4″ wide blade for fast wood cutting and PVC, DWA4208 is 3/8″ wide blade for cutting wood. t comes with two different adapters, one is for Rockwell and for Bosch brand. They are compatible with Fein, Bosch, Dremel, Rockwell, Porter-Cable, Skil, Ridgid, Craftsman, Milwaukee, Mastercraft. I used is the DWA4203 for the project and the blade cut through the 5/8″ thick and about 8: wide of Douglas fur with no problem. Didn’t have to put a lot of pressure going through the wood. A great set to add to my Oscillating unit.

First, the oscillating tool is fantastic, often being able to do what no other tool can do. Being in remodeling you are often faced with trimming or removing material (wood), the tool is superb for that. Second, you need blades. The blades are great if your wood is new. On old, tough wood (any) blade will take a toll. I’ve smoked several “metal” blades on nails. The nail wins. One technique is to use these wood blades to cut the wood apart near the nail or screw, remove the wood, then pry/bend/snap out the fastener. Saves your blades.

The Dewalt Oscillating Blade Set ( 3 blades) contains the most useful sizes for multi-tool work. I used these with my Porter+Cable and the alternate adapter for mounting other manufacturers blades. Most of the blades I use are not OEM and these too fit the tool well with the alternate adapter. The blades are intended for wood and wood with nails. I use these types often for preparing doors for hinges and locks. The blades, especially the narrow one, is perfect for mortising with a 1/4” width that gives precise control for this work. It saves plenty of time and requires much less skill than a chisel. The blades are well made replacements for those that came originally with the multi-tool. The blades cut through cleanly with no sign of wear, but I haven’t been using them for very long. From what I’ve seen these are good quality blades that should hold up nicely.

They do not have much longevity to the blade, it is a basic 3 pack of the cheaper blades. You will not be making hundreds of cuts with these. The size is good for using a few times in that one tight spot you need to get into. Overall, all companies are overpricing the cost of these blades for what you get, they are not much different than reciprocating blades which are a 5th of the cost.

Did the job

The wood with nails blade doesn’t last as long I would like them to when actually cutting through nails. The other 2 blades will cut through just wood real quick and last quite a while if you don’t hit nails or concrete.
