The bit worked well for the installation of 6″ LED low-profile puck lights in a 3/4″ pine ceiling backed by 5/8″ drywall. Clean cuts and the bit held up well despite hitting a couple nails. Used a 1/2″ drill with handle (important) to drill the holes. Quick work of the holes and was worth the $.

A little difficult to work with. Three Cutting edges tends to stick. Might be better to go with a traditional saw tooth type blade.
Leo Mills (verified owner) –
A little heavy for doing recessed lighting holes. It works.
Tiana Gutmann (verified owner) –
Cuts big holes easily thru 2by lumber and subflooring. Need a big drill with the second right angle handle in order to control.
Dolly Bradtke (verified owner) –
Easy to use and the drill bit is adjustable.

Does a good job, but be sure you score around the bit with a utility knife before cutting to minimize tear out. Cut slowly and use a 1/2 in drill with an auxiliary handle as this bit develops a LOT of torque.

Product is very robust and built for heavy duty use.

I needed a hole saw to cut a hole in the lens board of a 1860s wooden tintype camera. The extremely hard African mahogany can fray but the sharp precision blade made short work of it. The installation of the vintage 1860s lens completed my camera. I have a complete set of hole saws.

I’m really pleased with this wood hole saw, it was just what I needed to complete my set also!

Built well heavy cut six holes for LED lights in Plaster ceiling. Got it on time!

I have used many holesaws over the years. They have all mostly had regular saw teeth. The Dewalt with just four carbide teeth is the best I’ve ever used for wood.

Rips right through wood and nails without skipping a beat. Bit does not dull when u hit a nail like regular hole saw bits well worth the money. Going to buy more sizes

The Dewalt Hole Saw worked wonderfully. This was a hard to find size, but The Home Depot came through for us by ordering it on line.

Cuts a 6 1/4″ hole like butter.
