This attachment is indispensable! When you don’t have room for your impact driver, this thing will get the job done. I looked at several attachments for angled access, but all the others said ‘not for use with impact drivers’. This one specifically says it’s made for impacts. You can use it on drills as well. It’s solid, heavy and built like a tank. The screwdriver bit comes out and you can use any bit that fits your impact driver (magnetic bit holder). I’ve driven 3/8″ lag screws with it (using a 1/2″ impact adapter & socket). Like I said; it’s built to take the torque of an impact driver. I love it!

I needed a solution for driving a screw near the edge of a small enclosure. I stumbled upon this Dewalt solution and for $15 it saved my knuckles and many scary looks from my wife in earshot of my flowery language. This is a two handed solution, needing one hand to hold the adapter and push it into the screw, the other needs to hold the hand-held/battery screw driver as it attaches to the exposed 1/4 inch male stem. A standard drill could be used, yet it would likely turn the item way to fast and it would make the screw bit slip off the screw as this is designed for a tight space and one has to keep pressure on the adapter to keep the screw bit in the screw head. Thus, it worked fine for me, though my space was so tight that I needed to hold the screw itself and the adapter with my two hands, and had my wife on the button of the electric screw driver to drive the screw in. This is a good specialty tool. Will use it again for the next tight screwing job.
