Like using these sleeves when driving deck screws. They help hold the screw with the magnetic end, allow you to hold the sleeve as you drive the screw, instead of having the screw spin in your fingers, and keep you from over driving or burying the screw below the surface. Holding the sleeve ILO of screw is especially handy if you are wearing gloves.

I’ve been using these Maxfit magnets and the matching torx bits for the construction screws we use at work. From 1 5/8″on up to the 4″ they hold the screws really well. They snap right on Maxfit bits and other brands of 2″bits. Far less screws getting dropped, less time and effort much wasted, easier starting them overhead and in other hard to reach/start locations.

Does a good job holding the screw in place but does prevent you from seeing the head the screw meet the surface. If your clutch isn’t set right, you may go too far below the surface or stop to early. It’s a little cumbersome trying to refit the bit back on a screw that you didn’t drive far enough because you couldn’t see what was going on.
