I don’t care about the torque thing, the best thing about this is that the guide slides easily up and down the shaft so that helps hold the screw in place. It also has a strong magnet which helps a lot two. The other advantage of a magnet is if you do drop a screw, just reach down with the drill and grab it. My cordless dewalt has a built-in LED, so in a dark room it’s much easier to keep track of fallen screws and then to pick them up.
