This review is early on, I haven’t used it a lot yet but so far I like it. I have a cordless drill which is very good but just not powerful enough for some jobs. No problem here, this thing is a horse. The balance and feel with the mid-handle is very nice, especially with a bigger drill.

This is a very string drill obviously designed for the professionals and do it yourselfers alike. I would highly recommend it.

I bought this to drill for some anchor bolts into my concrete patio. It drilled like i was going into a 2×4, plenty of power amd easy to get where i needed to. I used it to put 4″ screws into landscape timbers without drilling pilot holes no problem. I would put a better bit in it because it turned the cheap extension I tried using into a Twizzler.

Home depot should send thes reviews out later to give more time using the tool. Only have had it for 3 weeks now so only have used it a couple times, so of course it’s working great because it’s brand new, duh! To be critical there does not seem to be much difference between speed 1 and 2. Would like to see speed one a little more slower. Toggle switch for forward and reverse seem cheap and like it will break easy. Overall it’s a good drill that I bought for the 2 speeds and the hammer feature.

I needed this type of drill for the power. I wire houses. It worked perfectly with my 3/4″ arbor bit. I have a lot of DeWalt tools. This is just my newest edition.

Had to drill 16-1/4″x1 3/4″ holes in concrete pad and was able to complete the process in half an hour. Saved me a lot of time. Tried with regular drill with little success. Glad I purchased this product.

It performs as advertised, and my reservations about the drill are really a result of my not doing enough research. Working on concrete is rough going and I would recommend just about any drill with an SDS chuck over a 3-jaw for that specific job. Otherwise, this guy can handle most DIY jobs easily.

On a jobsite with over 300 1/4″ dia. x 2″ depth holes to drill into stone aggregate concrete wall. My trusty B&D with over 11 years of heavy use and abuse finally died. Averaged 45 seconds per hole. I went to my local hardware store just down the street from the site to purchase a new Dewalt. Sadly, a large GC in the area had cleaned them out the day before. Went to a larger home improvement store across town. Purchased a Heavy Duty Bosch, as they didn’t carry Dewalt. Back to the jobsite. Averaged 30 seconds per hole…until it died after 90 minutes. Went back to the store and even exchanged, just to save time. Back to the jobsite. Completed the day, 175 holes done. That night, ordered the Dewalt online. I just wasn’t comfortable with the Bosch, and since day two was a Saturday, wasn’t looking forward to more trips and down time to exchange. Day two on site, started with the Bosch just to see how far it would go. As it began to go from 30-60 seconds per hole, pulled out the Dewalt. The first few holes, 10-15 seconds per. I double checked the depth gauge, thinking I was set too shallow. Nope, it was correct! Continued on and completed the job with no effort. Actually found myself smiling while hammer drilling (which is just wrong in may ways) thinking of the profits coming from 2/3 reduction in time. The Dewalt paid for itself plus profit on 1/3 rd of the total first project. Actually looking forward to the next big job just to see what else it can do. Thank you Dewalt!

Drill was effective in drilling small holes (3/16″ x 3.5″) in a slab. Not overly loud for a hammer drill. Easy to use.

I needed to make sixty 1/2″ x 5″ holes in 60 year old concrete, but I ended up returning this drill.I’m giving it 5 stars because it was a great drill, just not the right one for the job I was doing. Ireally needed a rotary hammer, not a hammer drill. A hammer drill took about 20 min. per whole, but a rotary hammer took about 1 min. I really needed a hammer that drilled not a drill that hammered.I have bought Dewalt in the past and will continue in the future. They make good products. Also,5 stars for their 30-day return policy :-).

Very happy with product. Tried several other hammer drills with little to no success. The DeWalt cut through like butter. We hope the cam holds up better than the others so it pays for itself.
