The Dewalt drill is really pretty nice. It is identical to my old 1999 Dewalt drill I bought with a nice carrying case and could not be fixed as the part was not available, but this 2016 Dewalt is better looking/actually identical looking,but it has four new cutting features my old Dewalt did not have. i’ve cut through just about everything with this. tree branches, tubs, metal pipes, everything. use the right blade, of course. easy to install or change the blades and they lock in securely with no fuss. blades can also be mounted for downward cuts or sideways cuts.

From the unboxing and first use you can tell this is a quality product. Owned for one month now and this thing just doesn’t quit. Love the power and the durability. A few competitors had products where the rubber covering would slip a bit and I didn’t like that aspect for safety (grip) reasons. In contrast, this model feels well made and US made is an extra bonus. Primarily used to cut 8-10 inch logs for projects, and with the right blade, it continues to exceed my expectations. Super smooth operation with minimal vibration. Very nice price point as well.Great job DeWalt!
