This reciprocating saw is ideal for cutting wood and nail embedded wood, light to heavy gauge metal, drywall or plaster and plastics, rubber, fiberglass and composites. I had an industrial level craftsman but it was 18 yrs old and the switch was failing. Nobody has one. I actually painfully threw it in garbage. There were a few choices in HD to replace it. Dewalt is able to cut flush and I like the tool less blade feature. Amps compare well w Makita and Milwaukee.
