The 4-1/2 in. to 5 in. Surface Grinding Dust Shroud Kit features the DWE4313113 Amp grinder and DWE46152 dust shroud. The 13 Amp grinder is part of the PERFORM and PROTECT line of products with the Anti-Rotation E-CLUTCH System. The E-CLUTCH system helps protect the user in bind up situations by shutting down the tool. The 5 in. surface grinding dust shroud features a flush grinding door which allows the user to perform flush edge grinding while collecting dust.

Has the motor overheating issue been solved with this upgraded model? With the 46153 model one had to only use a 50 foot 12 gauge extension cord or risk overheating. Has this been solved?

Very effective grinding down concrete. The dust shield adapter doesn’t fit any shop vac I could find but I managed to attach it with a kludge. Depending on the angle you grind at, the dust collection goes from ‘pretty good’ to ‘ineffective’. Note that, as I’d hoped, this grinder also includes the “normal” guard for cutoff wheels and the like.
