because customer support handled this quickly and to my satisfaction. They replaced the saw with a brand new one. I did not give it a 5 star due to the fact that although the alignment of the blade to the base edge on the replacement is better It is still a bit off. I tried it and it worked well through a 4′ cut in 1/2″ plywood against a rail. it did not bind in the first foot of cut as the previous one did. this is my 3rd Dewalt saw. I have had other brands also and never had issues cutting against a rail so I never checked blade alignment. I can’t say what all the others were???? All I can say is that I feel it should be better and If you buy any saw do a long test cut against a rail as soon as you get it.Thank you customer service I appreciated the quick response.

Lightweight, powerful, and well balanced, what more can you ask for. Coming from an 18v Ryobi this saw is a beast, nothing against the Ryobi, I just needed something more powerful. Cant beat Homedepot’s free shipping, so not a big deal it’s not offered in stores. I’m a mostly a weekend Diyer that didn’t necessarily need the cordless version. Just got done rebuilding my front porch and the saw was great, cut everything I threw at it. If you’re considering this saw don’t hesitate you wont be disappointed.

Very easy to use. For a lightweight saw, it is surprisingly strong. It made long angled cuts through some 2×10’s without a hiccup. Installing the blade was straightforward and everything came aligned correctly. The clamp to adjust the depth is a bit tight, but that’s probably a good thing. I used it for some lap joints and it did the job just fine. The 18 tooth blade that comes with it works well, but I’ve replaced it with a 24 tooth one because I need smoother cuts.
