My first Dewalt Circular saw was an older model with the plastic shoe. I still have that one and use it often but like the upgrade to the aluminum shoe. This saw is very lightweight but durable, you can use it all day without dreading picking it up one more time. I’ve never had any issues with it cutting straight and when you set it at a certain depth or angle it stays put. There’s plenty of power to get through any wood as long as you make sure to keep your blades sharp. Definitely recommend this product.

I have owned several circular saws in the past, but this Dewalt DWE575SB is the best so far. The clear line-of-sight view to the cut guide lines and the blade guard retractor design are really superior. The brake is a good safety feature but I am not sure if it will shorten the motor brush life, although replacements seem readily available. The light weight is nice, especially for long (reaching) rip cuts. It also has many other features that I am sure will be add to it’s usefulness over time. Too bad a small hard case isn’t available, but the included tote bag is better than nothing. Good saw !

This is a perfect saw for all your circular saw needs. It’s light weight, easy to maneuver, and does everything I expect out of a circular saw. Only gripe is it came with the contractor’s bag and not a nice hard case. Oh well.

I have only used this saw for one project so far, but it worked like a charm. I used it to cut some fire bricks for my wood stove. I bought a masonry blade and it cut through them like butter. If you do this, be sure to purchase a face mask as the dust is carcinogenic. It also helps to soak the bricks in water first (to hold the dust down). I’m looking forward to using the saw on lumber in the future.
