This was purchased mainly for sanding bottom paint from a sailboat. it is light enough to hold overhead and small enough to get into odd angles (generally). Found it easy to figure out. one issue is with the bag – it is way to small, so I jury rigged a shop vac hose for somewhat dustless sanding. not perfect as the diameter of the vacuum hose is smaller than that the bag opening. Standardizing or offering a sleeve would be a great improvement.

I bought this a few months ago and so far it has lived up to the Dewalt quality. It is simple and does the job. Curious to see how it fairs after a year. Using it as a hobby/DIY builder, so use is average. I like that it is corded so I don’t have to worry about a battery. The dust port collects dust fairly well.

Functioned normally and as expected with the dust collector working quite well as it was pretty much full every time I stopped to check it. My only issue is the hooks on the hook and loop pad do not hold the sand paper discs on as well as my previous Rigid orbital sander did.

Bought this orbital sander a few weeks ago when I discovered my 40 year old dual action sander was dead. It is good for small projects. I realized my sandpaper sheets for the old sander would be useless, so had to buy two packages of new sandpaper (DeWalt brand with the proper holes in each disk- 60 grit and 220 grit). I’ve already used this new one twice for small projects (wood patio furniture and removing painted labels off some 3/4″ plywood). Works fine. My only complaint is that being round it doesn’t fit into corners like my old sander did. As this sander gets older it will have to have some minor parts (sanding pad and belt) replaced as stated in the Instruction Manual. I like the ease of replacing the sandpaper (sticks to sanding pad).
