The DEWALT DWE6421K Sander is ideal for sanding wood, metal and plastic. This sander features a 3 amp motor that spins the pad at 12,000 OPM. The shorter height allows the user to get closer to work piece.

I finally got a chance to use this sander today on a small shelf project to better organize a few of my tools, including this one. It worked very smoothly and I believe that the sanding disc adheres better to this sander than the one It replaced. I also think that the dust collector piece attaches more firmly to this sander than in my previous non-corded unit. So far I’m very happy with this purchase.

I got this corded sander to replace a cordless one where the on/off switch wasen’t working properly. This Dewalt unit has a better attached dust collection unit and seems to do a better job at retaining the hook/loop sanding disc. I’ve used it several times now and am very satisified with my purchase.
