The DEWALT DWE6421K Sander is ideal for sanding wood, metal and plastic. This sander features a 3 amp motor that spins the pad at 12,000 OPM. The shorter height allows the user to get closer to work piece.

Does a better job than a certain competitors brand, with less vibration than the competitors sander. That said, I think the vibration problem could still be reduced even more. I have owned this for about 2 wks. now and I find the dust bag already has a hole/worn spot right up next to the knurled plastic that attaches to the sander. I can’t imagine why a hole would be there unless its due to the spring in the dust bag wearing a hole thru due to vibration.

I have used this sander just 1 time but was very impressed with it. Out of the box all you have to do is attach the filter which is very easy to do then put a sanding disk on and you are ready to go. Quality of sander is very good and the variable speed is a plus. Sanding disk stays firmly attached to the pad also. Overall this sander did a great job and made short work of the task.
